About the destination: Utrecht is both the geographical centre of Holland, and one of its major university towns as well as one of one of the Netherlands' oldest cities, with a compact medieval centre set out around canals unique to the Netherlands. National demonstrations often start here, book and print shops dot tiny streets throughout the old tonw, and in summer, people sit near the Oude Gracht, the old canal. The Old Town of Utrecht really is a pleasant place to wander with its varying architecture and its uniquely-structured canals. As to be expected there are some magnificent churches, the most interesting being the Dom Tower and the remains of its church. In the 17th century, a hurricane separated the Domtoren, an imposing tower, from its cathedral. Don’t let the 465 steps to the tower put you off, the view is splendid. The cathedral’s chapel and enormous clocks are fascinating. Across the street is the Kloostergang, part of the cathedral’s Gothic cloister, a perfect place to sit down and relax, and listen to a Saturday morning carillon concert. The city has a fine number of museums, most of them situated in the Museum Quarter at 10 minutes walking distance from Central Station. Utrecht is known as a student city with a large population of single young people. This results in a booming nightlife with many places to have a quick meal, some drinks or a dance.

About the destination: Dresden is a baroque jewel set on the Elbe River. Dubbed the Florence of the North, the capital of Saxony, is a city full of monumental staircases, panoramic terraces and spacious squares decorated with statues of saints and monarchs bursting with solemnity. Virtually destroyed shortly before the fall of the Reich in 1945, the city has recovered sufficiently to become an animated and arty, not to mention beautiful, destination. The exquisite baroque palace Zwinger now contains half of Dresden’s museums. The most important are the Alte Meister Gallery, one of Europe’s oldest and best painting collections, and the Historisches Museum with a superb collection of ceremonial weapons. Not far from the Zwinger Palace, we find the Hofkirche, the Catholic Church, which allows an interesting comparison with the Prostestant Kreuzkirche, located on the Altmarkt area, the historic hub of Dresden. Strolling around the Neumarkt area, you will eventually find yourself in Frauenkirche at Noitmarkt Square. This round church is considered an outstanding example of Protestant sacred architecture, featuring one of the largest domes in Europe. The church was rebuilt after the reunification of Germany and is now a symbol of reconciliation. Dresden will mesmerize visitors with its beauty, the sheer abundance and grandeur of the city's cultural treasures are enough to take your breath away. And since Dresden also just happens to be set amidst a dazzling river landscape, the amazement will soon be accompanied by pure joy.

About the destination: This column is a splendid baroque monumental work that was carried out between 1716 and 1754 according to the project of the architect Václav Render, who wanted to build a masterpiece that had no comparison. When Václav died, he was performing the first level of the column, with an interior chapel that can be visited and some of the decoration in relief of the apostles. In 1733, after the death of the architect, his followers continued with the task. Ondrej Zahner (1709-1752) finished the sculptures of twenty-one statues with a size at scale and superior to the human, in a period of three years. The 9 of September of 1754 the masterpiece was inaugurated with a solemn ceremony in which they attended Maria Theresa of Austria and the Emperor Francisco I. At the top, dominating the monument, is the sculptural group of the Holy Trinity golden in its entirety. God the Father is represented as an elder, Christ appears as a young man carrying a cross in his right hand and the Holy Spirit appears as a dove that is situated in the center of a radiant sun. Under the Holy Trinity, at his feet, we have the Archangel Michael brandishing a sword and holding a shield, a fact that represents the struggle of the church to separate the celestial sphere from the earthly sphere. Below, we can observe the Assumption which is held by two angels and represents the intermediary between the two worlds. The column is very enriched with representations of the theological virtues, the saints closest to Christ and the Virgin Mary and the local, the fathers of the church, the patrons of the Slav nation, who are St. Cyril and St. Methodius Two missionary brothers from Thessalonica who preached in Crimea and in Great Moravia), accompanied by martyrs, such as St. John Nepomuk, the saint of the secret of confession and the patron of Bohemia, much loved by the local church. In the year 2000, this column of the Holy Trinity was recognized as "Patrimony of humanity" by Unesco.1 Traductor de Google para empresas:Google Translator ToolkitTraductor de sitios web

The capital of Moravia is a beautiful and wonderful town that has a small town feel to it. The city is surrounded by beautiful mixed forests, which offer many opportunities for tourism and cycling. The centre is very small and the sights can be easily navigated in a day. The area above Brno is dominated by the magnificent Hrad Spilberk or Spielberg Castle, the history of which is fascinating. It is now also home to the Brno City Museum and it provides excellent views of Brno and the surrounding countryside. The biggest eye-catcher in Brno's old town is Stara Radnice, the old town hall. It is a magnificent building where you can see two beloved Brno symbols, the Brno Dragon, Brněnský drak, and the Wheel. Namesti Svobody, Freedom Square, is the main square in Brno. It is a lovely place to wander round or sit and enjoy a drink at one of the numerous cafes as you indulge in a bit of people watching. The original appearance of the square changed following the extensive building alterations that took place at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, when a number of buildings were rebuilt in neo-Renaissance style. The dominant feature of the square is the baroque Plague Column dating from 1679. Charming Brno is an important tourist centre for all who want to explore the natural and cultural beauties of the South-Moravian region. Today Brno is a seat of universities and important judiciary institutions. It offers many possibilities of cultural enjoyment in its numerous theatres, museums, cinemas and clubs.
