1. Palma de Mallorca
Stay
About the destination:

Palma de Mallorca is the island's only true city. A city on the island of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands off the Spanish east coast. The city has become a destination in its own right, rather than simply a stop-over for package holidaymakers en route to the island's many beach resorts, thanks to its increasingly cosmopolitan atmosphere, its avant-garde galleries and museums, a thriving cultural scene and an ever-growing number of chic boutiques, trendy bars, nightclubs and restaurants. Palma de Mallorca is a wonderful place to visit. It has a rich architectural variety as the city has many different styles all merged with one another. The vestiges of Arabs and Jews, the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture of its churches, convents and manor homes, in addition to its complete infrastructure of cultural places of interest, make Palma a unique cultural destination. Don't miss the opportunity to walk on the narrow streets, take a good look at the interior yards and raise your head to see the great architecture on the heights of the different buildings where Gaudi and his disciples left their marks. The city's heritage is a faithful reflection of the peoples and cultures that have passed through the island down the ages. As a versatile, cosmopolitan beachfront city, Balearic’s capital of Palma has something for everyone.

2. Soller, Mallorca
Stay
About the destination: Sóller is a town on the island of Mallorca, one of the Balearic Islands off the Spanish east coast. Sóller is a town located on the North West coast of Mallorca. It is set in a green valley surrounded by Mallorca's highest mountains. Much of the town is residential and agricultural: it is full of orange, lemon and olive groves. The resort area of Port de Sóller is four kilometres away and is much more tourist oriented. The town has a beautiful square and many of the buildings are of architectural interest. There's a beautiful church in the center of Sóller that was built by one of Gaudí's students. There is a free museum of modern art located at the train station. This has some work by famous artists, notably Joan Miró. Take the tram to the Port de Sóller, the local seaside resort, or simply wander around and look at the beautiful scenery, streets and houses.

4. Cala d'Or, Mallorca
Stay
About the destination: Cala d'Or is a town and resort area in south-east Mallorca. Very scenic and the town center is connected to several coves. The coves have charming little beaches that are surrounded by woodland and cliffs and the water is wonderfully clear and inviting, and ideal for swimming on a warm summer's day. It is one of the nicer resorts along the east coast and it is great for a relaxing holiday. Cala d'Or has some lovely beaches and good restaurants and is lively at night. It has something for everybody. It is a great holiday spot for families and also for young couples or singles, with some good bars and clubs that stay open late also. It’s a great base from which to explore Majorca or to simply stay in and relax!
